I have been told about a small tip that has improved the CTR on many publishers AdSense units, and I would like to share it with you, this may be old news to many Adsense publishers but there may be those of you out there that do not know this.

The tip is to remove the ‘Advertise on this site’ notice that appears underneath the AdSense unit. It seems that by removing this line of text the ads blend better into the web-page.

You are no doubt thinking, how the hell do I remove the ‘Advertise on this site’ text from under my AdSense units? It is actually a very simple process.

You need to log into your Google AdSense account. Once inside proceed to the ‘My Account’ tab. On this page you will notice a section called ‘On-site Advertiser Sign-up’ click the edit button for this section.

Now, just untick the box which includes your website in the On-site Advertiser sign-up program.

The ‘Advertise on this site’ text will no longer appear on your AdSense units.
