The End Of Adsense

With a rise in the amount of blogs that are removing Google AdSense units from their websites in favour of the 125×125 private advertising, could this lead to a massive drop in AdSense revenue and ultimately to the end of Google’s hold over Internet marketing?
As you will have noticed I am still using Google AdSense on this blog and on several of my other blogs, but as many of you may have noticed there has been a significant drop in the CPC and generally many bloggers AdSense earnings are down.
I believe that it is no coincidence that the fall in Google AdSense revenue ties in with the rise in top blogs and websites moving to 125×125 private advertising.
The fact is that if the quality of websites that display Google AdSense units is falling then the quality of Advertisers will drop also, as they will not get the same results, this will in turn lead to a drop in the bid prices for keywords and a drop in revenue earned by publishers.
Google is also not helped by the fact that there are now many other alternatives to AdSense that many people believe outperform AdSense in some niches. I read an article a few weeks ago about a publisher that compared Google AdSense with Bidvertiser over a two week period. He found that in 2 weeks with AdSense he made $0.63 but over the same period with Bidvertiser he earned $7.89. This is a massive difference.
Obviously the effects all depend on the niche of your website, some niches may not be affected.
The golden rule then is to experiment, to find out which Ad network best suits your website. But with the drop in AdSense revenues in several niches you may find that AdSense is no longer the best option for your website.
In the coming weeks I will be performing an experiment to try and find the best performing Ad Networks for several niches, so don’t forget to come back and check how I got on.
What are your experiences with Google AdSense? Which Ad Network do you use? Leave your comments below!

Hi,
Nice site you have here. While I think you’re on to something here about the revenues dropping a little, I also think that Adsense has been well established and with the rate of growth on the internet, I believe there will always be room for adsense.
The difference between adsense and bidvertiser for that person was major! I can see that too. Hopefully it will cause Google to make some changes as they advertise that they want to be the “highest” paying PPC on the web. We’ll see.
I’m looking forward to coming back to see how your experimenting goes.

recently, I used a 125×125 adsense to make it look a sponsor link but it didn’t work so I remove them and place other 125×125 banner.

Jonathan.
I to hope that Google wants to be the highest PPC on the web, as it would make things alot easier for blog owners.
I am in the process of planning my experiment, hopefully get the ideas posted in the next week or two.

I to have tried using 125×125 Adsense units, and also had problems, so am sticking with simple adsense units at the present.
