In modern society, everyone is seeking ways to make money. In a sense, affiliate programs can be regarded as one of those times. If you are a site that receives a high volume of traffic, you may be able to make money with affiliate
programs, with little work or not. Let’s see how.

Despite the possibility of making money with little effort, can think about putting some effort. There are some relatively easy ways you can go about increasing your commissions.

If you’re in an affiliate program, you probably know exactly what the affiliate program of the Commission. If this is the first time you join an affiliate program, you may want to learn more. Commissions affiliate program is exactly like the fees that many stores offer their employees or make large sales. If and when you enroll in an affiliate program, you will be notified of their rates of commission in advance. Say, this rate is five percent.

All sales that help to generate, receive fifty percent of sales commissions. Many times all you need do is place a link or banner on your site. This is why affiliate programs are often considered the easiest ways to make money online legitimate.

One of the easiest ways to increase the amount of commissions you make with affiliate programs to choose your programs wisely. When it comes to affiliate programs commissions various subsidiaries offer different commission. In general, a joint commission rate is forty to fifty percent.

There are a number of affiliate programs that have ten or even fifteen percent commission rate for affiliates. Joining an affiliate program that has a relatively high percentage of the Commission is one of the easiest ways you can increase the amount of money you earn.

Another of the many ways you can go about increasing your Commission is successful. While it is often easier said than done, can be very useful. Most affiliate programs reward the top of its affiliates from the scene.

For example, when you reach a high level of income, like a thousand dollars in sales, be brought to a high level of the Commission. Many affiliate programs do so as a way to motivate their members. If you can make sales, you may see an increase in the amount of commission you make.

Besides choosing their affiliate programs wisely and performance, can also increase your commissions by experimentation. There are many different ways you can go about increasing your affiliate program commissions. The only thing is that all these methods work for all. The best thing to do is experience.

You have to take time to see what works for you and what does not. During the experiment, you may want to try writing affiliate product reviews or recommendations, sending monthly newsletters, optimizing your site to search engines or submit articles to article directories.

It is also important that you give it time. Increasing your affiliate commissions is not something that will happen overnight. The only way they can increase their commission from the beginning register is an affiliate program very rewarding. However, even with these programs, you are guaranteed to make any sale now.

If you are interested in using search engine optimization of your site, sending newsletters, or submitting to article directories, you have to these working methods. Although you may want to see the results immediately, no matter if it helps here a week or two months from now, at least you’ll be able to see an increase in their commissions.

Keeping these points in mind, you should be able to see an increase in the amount of money you make with affiliate programs. After a while, may well end up making a full time income with affiliate programs only.

I will look forward to hearing from you so I can know how best to proceed.
Cheers.
Best Regards,
Linda.

So, what are you guys thing? Looks pretty legit does it?

Be very cautions and careful when you are selling your products on the internet.

Advertising is very expensive, but there is one way to publicize your business, organization, event or even yourself for no cost at all. Just write a press a release.

A newspaper will charge you a small fortune to run your advert, but if you can give them a good story they will run it. In short they will give you great publicity – and it will be for free!

So how do you go about putting together a press release? Obviously it will have to be interesting enough for the newspaper to run the story. So before putting pen to paper, rack your brains for something that will hook that interest. Is there something extra special or unique about your project? If so, lead your press release with that.

Your press release does not have to overly long; 100 to 150 words will do. Don’t forget to mention the project, be it a new shop, a new business or whatever. Give some background about it. If you are not experienced in writing press releases do not worry. The chances are the newspaper will not publish it word for word. They may even decide to get back to you for more information before developing it into a longer story

And finally do not forget to give a contact number at the end of your release. Many newspapers require this so they can verify the story. They may decide to ring you to find out more details, allowing them to give your story that expert touch and helping you to gain valuable publicity when it is published. And it will all be for free!

The domain name is the entry to your site. Domain name represent your business. You need to pay attention to it, because your company name will not always be the best domain name you can get for your website. There are certain considerations you should keep in mind when choosing the domain name you will use:

• Your domain name should be easy to remember for the intended audience
• Your domain name should contain keywords so it helps your site positioning in search engines.

With these in mind, you will soon discover that your-company-name.com is not always the best alternative.

The domain name is a tool you can use to help your business grow. Spend the necessary time thinking about possible domain names, and trying to find their good and bad aspects.
A good idea is to get more than one domain name and point them to the same website. So if people type your-company-name.com or they type your-keyword-rich-domain.com they get to the same website. This way you can still use your company name as domain name, and also some other keyword rich name you register.

Another good idea is to register common variations of your chosen domain name. For example, if you register mydomain.com, you could also register my-domain.com or mydomains.com.
Once you come up with the domain name(s) you want to use, you need to register them. The first step is to check if they are available, because they could have been already registered by someone else. Once you have verified this, you can register them for a period of time, and they will be yours to use for that period. You can always renew them afterward, before the period expires.

If you have any suggestions, or questions , please feel free to share with all of us. I’m also active bido expert on auction site to sell and buy domain names. I was reading yesterday that Jeremy Schoemaker, AKA ShoeMoney, is suing a Google employee for adword and trademark violations.

As a known moneymaker, Schoemaker trademarked ShoeMoney to stop people using his name for profit. With regards to Adwords, this meant that no one could target the word ShoeMoney except for Jeremy Schoemaker himself. However, ShoeMoney noticed one person who was getting through the adwords system and was making money through his trademarked name.

To cut a long story short, he tried contacting the owner of the site (myincentivewebsite.com) but was not replied to. His ‘Cease and Desist’ was not answered either. After going through the courts and forcing the host to replace the website owners information it turns out that the guy worked at Google as an AdWords Account Strategist. The guy had been using his position to bypass the adword controls and view all the keywords and phrases that ShoeMoney had been targeting.

It looks like ShoeMoney has a very good chance of winning this case (as well he should). Here’s hoping it works out well for him :)

Although I’m always looking for new ways to make money, I’m always prepared to move on if I don’t have time to develop it to the point where it makes me money. Even if that means I don’t break even i.e. sometimes you need to cut your losses and move on.

Recently I talked about two such sites in my recent post about mini sites, namely AlcoholView and Finding Love. I created these sites to see if you could make any money using free articles but I never really put the effort into them. Though I do now think that there is little or no money to be made in using free articles from directories.

I listed Alcoholview for sale on Digital Point and got $35 for it. Not a lot of money but the domain was due to expire so my choice to either let the domain expire, renew it at a cost of $8 or sell it on. When you think about it like that it becomes clear it was the right decision. The buyer also asked if I had any other sites and then proceeded to buy Finding Love as well, for $35. Again, $70 isn’t a lot of money but I was never going to spend time developing them and zipping the sites and sending the details for both sites took less than 20 minutes.

Another site I’m thinking of selling is RetroWheels, a car forum I picked up a while ago for only $130 including a leased vbulletin license. The seller was a little shy about some facts though, namely the site having a theme which can be bought for $30. I had been looking at loads of vbulletin themes around that time and never came across it so I never thought that it was a common theme. Still, I do still like the design.

I’m not sure if I could flip it for a profit of $100+ at the moment. I’m probably better waiting til it gets a little more traffic or waiting til it gets a PageRank so that I can sell some text links on it and sell it for 10-12 times monthly profit….though if it was making that I’d be tempted to keep it!

A bad habit of mine

The purchase of RetroWheels is a good example of a bad habit I have from time to time. When I’m interested in buying a site priced $1,000 or over I spend a lot of time thinking about whether it’s worthwhile. Traffic, branding and monthly income are all important but so is the time you need to spend developing the site.

For some reason, when I see a well priced site under $250 I don’t think about this. If I decide the site is undervalued and believe that I can either develop it and make money or flip it quickly, then I’ll buy it. However, I forget to think about the time I need to spend developing the site. This is not something I do all the time though I have bought several websites over the years because I knew they were undervalued. I’ve nearly always broke even and in most cases I’ve made a small profit but I do sometimes regret the purchase.

Cut your losses and move on

Whether you create a website from scratch yourself or whether you pick one up in a forum, the bottom line is if you don’t have time to develop the site you should cut your losses and move on.

Sites which don’t need updating and make $100+ a year are worth keeping but it’s probably best to trim your portfolio and concentrate on the sites you do want to develop.

  1. How To Make Money Blogging
  2. Make Money Blogging: Selling Your Ad Spots

As I mentioned in my first post, one of the most popular way for blogs to make money is by selling Ads directly on their site. The problem with this however is that it is not always easy to sell all of your Ad spots, this leaves wholes on your blog, which are usually filled with Affiliate Ads where income is not guaranteed.

The first thing you need to decide on when selling Ads directly on your site is the fee you are going to charge, you don’t want to charge so much that people cannot afford to buy your spots, on the other hand you don’t want to charge so little so that you are not making any money. It is a difficult area to judge, there is no set rule for deciding what fee to charge. I have picked out a couple of articles that may help you along the way:

  1. The Economics Behind Selling Blog Advertising
  2. Adspot Pricing For Blogs Exposed

As a general rule I would suggest looking at blogs that are at a similar level to you and use that as a marker.

Once you have decided your price you then need people to buy them, chances are you will not get many people coming to you for your Ad Spots, you usually will have to go to them, be pro-active.

There are several ways that this can be achieved, the first one that I use is to look at my competitors blogs and see who is advertising on them, I then contact those advertisers with details about my Ad Spots. Chances are, if they are buying advertising on a competitors site, they will be interested in advertising on your blog.

The next step I use is to roam around blogs and sites within my niche, looking for blogs that I think would benefit from advertising on my blog, I then contact the owner telling them the benefits of advertising on my blog, as well as the details of my ad spots.

Finally, if I have not sold all my ad spots for the month using the previous two methods, I head over to the ‘Digital Point Forums Link Sales Area‘, and post up details of the spots I have available, this usually helps to fill any remaining spots.

You should now be able to sell all your ad spots directly. If you don’t feel that you have time to personally manage your Ad spots you can also use programs such as:

They help to take the pressure off of selling your ad spots, you can then direct people to your ‘Buy Ads’ page and let them buy ads that way.

I want to know if you have tried any of these methods, or if you have a method that you find works for you?

This is the first post in my series about how to make money blogging. You can find the rest of the posts here:

  1. How To Make Money Blogging
  2. Make Money Blogging: Selling Your Ad Spots

I recently posted the preliminary results from my bloggers survey, with the most eye-catching stat being that on average bloggers are only making around $20 a month from their blogs. Obviously there are many bloggers making more than this, but there are also many that are not earning anything.

I am obviously disappointed that many people don’t seem to be making money from their blogs, so I will be running a small series on my blog over the coming weeks, which I hope will help to rocket your blogs earnings.

As part of my series I would like to have two blogs to use as case studies, so if you fancy being featured in my short series then feel free to contact me with details of your blog. I will consider any niche of blog.

So let’s start learning how to make money blogging:

Today I want to look at the methods available to bloggers to make money blogging, below I have outlined the earning systems that I believe work best on blogs:

  • Direct Ad Sales
  • Affiliate Ads
  • Contextual Ads
  • Sponsored Posts
  • Text Link Ads

As you can see there is a pretty wide selection available, which means that every blog should be able to use at least one or two of them. Lets look at each one in more detail:

Direct Ads Sales

Direct Ads Sales are one of the most popular choices for bloggers, usually they take the form of 125×125 banner ads in the blogs sidebar, but many bloggers also sell banner ads in other areas of their blogs, such as above and below blog posts.

There have been an increase in programs looking to help with the sale of Direct Ads on blogs, some of the most notable are:

I will produce a post about how to sell all your Ad Spots during this series.

Affiliate Ads

Affiliate Ads on blogs can come in a number of ways, many bloggers use them in their sidebars to fill empty Ad spots, others recommend products and services and link to them with an affiliate link. Others simply advertise products passively in blogs posts. Affiliate Ads can be a very powerful way of making money with your blog as there is usually a higher earning potential per click. I have had success with Market Leverage but there are many other affiliate networks available.

I will produce a post about how to make the most from Affiliate Ads during this series.

Contextual Ads

I believe it is fair to assume that Google Adsense is the most popular Contextual Ad Network on the Internet and I am sure many of you will know how it works. For those of you that may be new to this, Contextual Ad programs such as Google Adsense, display Ads on your site that are relevant to the content of your blog.

I will produce a post in this series about how to maximise your Adsense earnings on your blog.

Sponsored Post

This is a method that I am not overly keen on, but many bloggers use it to earn some decent money from their blogs. Many use this to Ad to earnings from Affiliate and Contextual Ads as it does not earn so much per month. There are networks such as Pay Per Post and Review Me that are popular amongst bloggers.

Text Link Ads

Many bloggers have a featured links section on their sidebar, they use this to sell Text Link to other blogs. This is a good way of earning a little extra cash from your blog, blogs with a higher PageRank or high traffic stats can earn some good rates from Text Link Ads. You can sell the Ads directly or you can use a program such as Text Link Ads.

I have now outlined the most effective methods available to make money from your blogs. I would like to know what method you think is best for bloggers?

PerformancingAdsPerformancing which is a large blogging community last week launched their their new Ad Network, Performancing Ads. The Ad network is focused at bloggers by focusing on the 125x125px banners that are the most popular choice for bloggers.

I have recently signed up to the Ad network to get a feel for what it has to offer and to see if it is beneficial to me. Here are some key points that I have noticed:

  • The Ad network is good for anyone looking to buy/sell 125×125 banner ads. It is more focused at these ads and has a large market place.
  • All the payments, bookings and Ads are managed by Performancing, so it reduces your work load.
  • You can book your own ads. This is useful if like me you offer away some Ads on your blog, you can simply buy the space yourself for free.
  • There is a large marketplace to sell ads on your blog, this means that you are increasing the chances of selling ads on your blog.
  • Cheap advertising can be bought. You can find some bargains in the marketplace to increase your blogs exposure.
  • You can control where the ads appear and how they are formatted.
  • Once your blog is added, you can create separate regions, to show ads in different places on your blog.
  • You can filter out ads that you don’t want on your blog.
  • The ads are bought on a weekly basis. This might encourage more sales in a month. And means that you don’t always have the same ads for a whole month.
  • You set the price. You choose the weekly price for your ads, so you can control what you are earning.
  • The ads are easily integrated into wordpress.

As you can see there are some great reasons to choose Performancing Ads. The only downside that I can see is that they take a 40% cut of your earnings. However better performing advertisers get to keep 90% of their profits. You can counteract the 40% by slightly increasing your ad price, so you are earning slightly more.

The Ad Network might by a good choice if you are currently not selling many ads per month, you have a better chance of selling ads once you are in the marketplace, so you could earn more, even with the 40% cut.

Have you tried Performancing Ads? How are they working for you? What do you like about them? What do you not like?
I will be installing the ads on ProTycoon.com over the coming days, sign up to purchase an Ad on my blog!
