I am pleased to announce that work on the new ProTycoon.com theme has been completed and we are now live.

My previous design was a hacked at version of the StudioPress Theme from DailyBlogTips.com. It was a good theme but I was looking to get something a bit more original and professional looking.

I would like to say a big thank you to Rajat Bhadani from DesignSaurus.com who has done a great job designing and implementing the blog. If anyone is looking to get their blog redesigned in the future then I would highly recommend them.

The new theme incorporates our logo from the previous design as well as a professional sidebar.

The theme has been checked for bugs in several browsers, but if you notice anything that is not working please contact me with details of the problem and the browser that you are using.

I am very happy with the new design, what are your thoughts?

Once again a big thank you to Rajat, please check out their website for details of how you can get a great blog design.

This is just a short message to let you all know that due to the site becoming more popular in recent weeks I have decided to upgrade to a better host, in order to better prepare the blog for any future growth (Fingers Crossed).

July is a big month for the blog so I did not want any down-time during that month, so have decided that I am going to make the move this weekend. The move should be seemless, but in the event of any downtime you now know the cause.

I will let you know once the move has been complete, once everything is ready I will also be able to unleash the new ProTycoon.com theme as well.

Thanks for your patience, we hope to be moved pretty quickly.

ProTycoon T-ShirtEvery blog seems to have thier own T-shirt these days, usually with the blogs logo plastered across the front. They are used as a tool for promoting blogs, and many bloggers actually devote sections of their blog to T-shirts. An example can be ShoeMoney who runs Free Shirt Friday, where bloggers send thier T-shirts to Jeremy to get featured on his blog.

I have also seen this used over at Nate Whitehill’s blog. It is a something that seems to have caught on in the blogging world, with more and more blogs having T-shirts designed and then sending them to the top blogs, in the hope of getting some free PR.

In an attempt not to let this pass me by, I have decided to take the plunge and have my own shirt designed, it features the sites logo with ProTycoon underneath, an example can be seen to the right.

It is a very simple design, but that is what works best on T-shirts, people dont have time to stand a read a T-shirt, it needs to deliver it’s message quickly and easily, that is what my T-shirt does.

As a follow up to my T-shirt release I am opening up the opportunity for you to get your blog featured on ProTycoon.com. There are two ways you can go about this:

  1. Purchase a ProTycoon.com T-shirt - Have your photo taken with it or in it and send it to me with the details of your blog, I will then dedicate a post to your blog on ProTycoon.com with your photo attached to it.
  2. Send me your T-shirt – You can send me a T-shirt along with the details of your blog. I will then picture myself in the T-shirt and dedicate a post to it. For more details on this option, contact me.

This is a great chance for you to promote your blog on ProTycoon.com and drive valuable traffic to your blog.

ProTycoon HoodieI got very carried away when designing my T-shirt, I also designed many other products, so if you like any of the other options feel free to purchase one of them and photo yourself with it. I will feature all photos I receive, so Purchase a Product Now. My hoodie design can be seen to the left.

Let me know what you think of my T-shirt design, as well letting us know about your blogs T-shirts, if you do not have a shirt but want to start creating one for free, click here.

Download DayI just popped over to BloggingTips.com to see what was happening over their when I noticed Kevin’s new post. FireFox 3 has been released and can be downloaded as of today!

I have used FireFox for years and believe that it is the best browser for use on the net. To coincide with the launch Mozilla have decided to try and break the record for the most downloads in 24 hours.

If you already use FireFox then you will no doubt be eager to get the up date, but if you don’t already use FireFox I suggest you give it a try.

I was not sure if I should write a post today with it being Friday 13th, a day well known for its bad luck. Instead I have decided to do a short links roundup of good posts I have read recently.

Before I get onto the links roundup I would like to say a big thank you to Kevin Muldoon from bloggingtips.com, who has kindly sent me a copy of the ProBlogger Book. Bloggingtips.com is a blog I have subscribed to and comment on alot, I have also done a guest post over there entitled ‘Improve Bounce Rate By Optimizing 404 Pages‘. I would recommend this blog to anyone that has a keen interest in blogging and wants to learn how to make their blog more successful. It is written by a team of writers, so it generates alot of different opinions giving a broader look at blogging as a whole.

There is also the Blogging Tips forum, which I have recently signed up for, It is a forum dedicated to blogging and I highly recommend that you check it out.

Some good posts I have read recently:

    1. Six Ways To Find Time To Blog When You Don’t Have Any

    4. Blogging Recipe for WordPress Newbies
    5. Why You Should Always Use Digg

I hope you find those posts useful. I would also like to apologise for the lack of new posts in recent days, I am currently sitting exams, but will soon by back to full blogging power, stay tuned for a busy summer..
