Let someone find a domain for you with PickyDomains
Ades posted about a unique new website the other day called Picky Domains. It’s such a simple idea, I’m curious as to why this hasn’t been done before.
Here’s how they explain it themselves :

Here is how it works. You deposit $50 and give us your specifications. Our contributors start submitting their domain name suggestions. When you see that perfect domain, you just register it. If none of our suggestions worked for you – you just get your money back. See, there is no risk involved.
If you become a contributor then you will get $25 (50%) sent to your PayPal account. It’s a really good idea and it’s certainly a site I will think of using next time I’m stuck for a new for a new project.

PickyDomains sounds like an easy way to earn money.
It’s hard to find good domain names these days. This seems like a cheap version of a consumer focus group. This service is cheap enough that small businesses could use it to expand on the list of domain names they are considering buying.

I think it’s a bit risky. The company might be making money in stead of helping the clients. But good concept though

So I’ve heard a lot of people complaining about pickydomain’s services, and I just wanted to point out that there is a very similar site out there called http://www.demandyourdomain.com. As well as domain name suggestions, you can request and offer logo suggestions. The site is brand new so there is not much traffic, but I am hoping traffic will increase in the near future. We assure all contributors that they will be paid for their services. We are here to run a trustworthy business and hope to build a large clientele. I really like this business model because it is a way of getting other opinions without too much hassle. It’s always better to have other opinions so that you know what you’re doing is the right thing!
