David Shaw founded ProTycoon in February 2008. His aim was to build a blog which helped bloggers and webmasters make money on the web. David did a fantastic job for the first 6 months of this blogs life but due to work and studying committments, he was unable to give the site the time it needs so he decided to sell up. David had blogged for me before and I was an admirer of his work so when I dropped by the blog and saw that it was for sale I jumped at the chance.

My name is Kevin Muldoon. Some of my projects can be seen on my personal blog System0 but I’m sure some of you will know me from my blogging advice website Blogging Tips. I plan on continuing the good work that David has done and developing this site over the next few months.

I have been looking recently for someone who is willing to take on the role of writing for ProTycoon.com, as I have found noone to perform this role for me I am forced to sell.

The blog is in good condition, with a custom theme and 100+ subscribers. The blog also receives 1000s of hits per month, so is a good investment for a new bloggers or someone looking to expand their blogging network.

The Sale will take the form of a silent auction, this means that if you are interested contact me with your offer for the blog, the highest offer after 2 weeks will get the blog.

I believe this is a fair way of doing business. I will notify each highest bidder when their offer has been beaten by another.

I look forward to selling this blog and hopefully seeing it grow and expand it’s influence in blogosphere.

Hi everyone!

It has been a while since my last update. Have been really busy with my website design work, as well as other things. This has meant that I have not been able to update the blog in the last week or so.

I thought I would post so you all know I am still around!

Also, as I am having little time at the moment to update, I am accepting guest posts, on the theme of making money from your blog! If you have a post that you would like to see on ProTycoon.com, please feel free to contact me!

I thought I should also let you know that I am currently debating whether to sell ProTycoon.com! With me being busy with my other work, and the new college year only two weeks away, things could get busy for me. With that in mind, I would be willing to listen to any offers, my current asking price is not as high as many people will expect, so feel free to get in touch if you are interested.

As you know I am currently running a series entitled ‘Make Money Blogging‘, With that in mind, this weeks Sunday Link Love post consists of post that are based on the subject of making money from your blog. They are not all recent posts, but are still very useful.

Feel free to post your favourite links below!

This is the second post in my series about how to make money blogging. You can find the rest of the posts here:

  1. How To Make Money Blogging
  2. Make Money Blogging: Selling Your Ad Spots

As I mentioned in my first post, one of the most popular way for blogs to make money is by selling Ads directly on their site. The problem with this however is that it is not always easy to sell all of your Ad spots, this leaves wholes on your blog, which are usually filled with Affiliate Ads where income is not guaranteed.

The first thing you need to decide on when selling Ads directly on your site is the fee you are going to charge, you don’t want to charge so much that people cannot afford to buy your spots, on the other hand you don’t want to charge so little so that you are not making any money. It is a difficult area to judge, there is no set rule for deciding what fee to charge. I have picked out a couple of articles that may help you along the way:
