As a journalist, I found that sheer circulation numbers (equivalent of unique visitors) were important for general publications like a daily newspaper but that specialty pubs needed to concentrate far more on how vested their readers were. Most blogs are specialty publications, so it stands to reason that you should focus on the activities that bring in committed readers and keep them engaged. These look like good goals for doing that.</description>
